Help needed

Hey guys.

So last night I shut down my PC as normal and as I went to turn it on today my resolution was at 1024x768?? So I went into the control panel and went to change it, but the maximum it shows is only 1600x1200. As I go onto that it's a lot different to what I used to have. I had 1920x1080 before, but it's just not showing?

I have a Benq G2420HDB.

I really dunno what the problem is.

Tried powering down both monitor and pc and trying again?
The monitor should provide EDID data containing supported resolutions to the pc - it sounds as if this hasn't worked properly for some reason.

I have tried rebooting, yup.

Have you tried to reinstall the display drivers?

it's the monitor I'd make sure is powered off and on too.

It's fixed, lol.

When I turned it off, I looked at the back at the connections and it seems like it wasn't properly in. Turned it all back on and it's sorted.
