I have virgin media 50meg and up til now everything has been hunky dorey!

I ahve paid for access to a video site which requires a simple username password to log in and view the video streams. Once in you right click the video link, select save as and you can also download and save the video.

Right, now the bits driving me spare that I need help with.

Using IE8 I could not even log in. The password windows kept saying connection insecure. I switched to Firefox and this was resolved. Logged in no problem!

Now when I click play on a video it downloads about a 3rd/half then jumps to 100%. I can only view the bit its downloaded.

Secondly when I try to right click and save as the firfox download window opens, again it downloads about a thrid and then fails.

This is the error message I get

C:filelocation/namehere.wmv could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

This is driving me spare. On a possibly related note I tried to download the latest IOS last night which failed. Disabling Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 resolved that issue. Disabling it does not resolve this one though. I disabled the KIS plugins in firefox, that didnt help either.

I also have the firewall turned off on my superhub.

Any and all help greatly appreciated

I'd rather not accept the refund I've been offered by the website!

Made small prgress. Reset IE8 disabling all plugins and now I can login in through IE8 without having to use firefox.

Still can't download a whole file
