Hey guys,

Quick question. I have 2 Windows 7 home premium computers connected to the router via WiFi (wireless USB adapters) which is fine, they can both access the internet. What I want to do is connect both computers together so I can transfer files between them. I have plugged an Ethernet crossover cable into both, but when I go and try and create a homegroup, neither can see each other?

What should I do?

If they're both connected to the router by wireless they should already be able to see each other. Adding an additional direct link between them is only going to confuse things.

Thats the problem. I have disconnected the crossover cable but it still won't detect the other system.

Ill put it like this. Both computers are connected to the router and can connect to the internet. Windows 1 has created a homegroup but Windows 2 can't see it.

I have no idea why...

Ahh, that fixed it :p Someone in the house has been playing around in the router settings... Time to change the password...Again!
