HELP NEEDED

Hi,folks just bought a pc:
Intel Core Quad 2.66ghz
Asus Striker extreme motherboard
Galaxy 850w PSU
4 GB Kingston Rams (i think are faulty)will explain later
GTX 295 graphics card

So ive installed gtx 295 and installed latest drivers+ DX 11

when i run game after few mins of playing it starts lagg and about minute later its stops and freezes,and i have to hard restart PC

Maybe its a HEat issues i ran OCCT 4.4.0 and had it for few mins so core 0 to core 3 heats up till arround 60-62 celcus
Maybe yous have any suggestions?as im pretty raw at theese things

i even installed gt 8800 asus graphics card and ive same problem

GTX 295 wouldnt work with dx 11? i dunno maybe they are not,i have no way to test them,they seem to be smaller than usual ram sticks..
is there any soft that could find the faults and as u mentioned could dx 11 cause problem?
 
i have corsair 550w psu aswell.should i swap it arround??and what if i downgrade to dx 10 would it fix fault.does it even worth a try??i thought the bigger psu the better it means it has loads of power saved up and doesnt have to work as hard??
 
i done some research and found few suggestions
1st prime95 test
2nd memtest 64

as my pc runs fine when im not gaming and if i go on gaming it plays for few mins then screen just stops and buZzing sound cones on.i had a faulty gpu before(old pc) and it had overheating issues so it started gliching first and then just restart.none of theese simptoms occure now.im confused.but ready for upgrade anyways..noob question..what rams should i upgrade??as far as i understand my asus striker extreeme only supports ddr2 but there is various speeds of them rams.im looking for 8gb in 4 sticks upgrade.thx for help fellas
 
next thing i noticed is when im running tests my psu reading shows 11.77v instead of 12v what i mean is not 12v...could dat cause the fault too?
 
so now i swapped rams ( ive found 3gb or ddr2 667hz) and will give them a shot see how does it goes..i was playing the game and hottest point of GPU cores was about 60-65 degrees which is reasonable

will keep in touch

also ran memtest and it found no errors(only ran it for 30 mins)will run it overnight if the fault will came back with new 3 gb of rams dat were in my old pc
 
ok so i THINK ive traced the fault!!!it could be caused by sata cables!!i will go ahead and get myself a new satas sll over.i moved my card under a bit (slot closet to cpu) and there is fan beside it..now under 2 hes of play card goes as hot as 51c!!!!:))))will let u know fellas when i recieve satas:)))
 
have old rams in.swapped cdrom and hdd satas over and its seems to be fine.now i think i will upgrade my rams.only nad point is dat my asus striker extreeme supports ddr2 and only up to 8gb ive 4 slots so would say 4*2gb sticks should be great.now i seen loads of them on ebay and they are diferent sll the eays(price-hz-speeds) can someone explains me whats the diff between 667 and 1066 and which ones eould be best for gaming??thx
