Help needed

Hi guy currently I own a volswagen passat b6 from 2006 and I'm having some trouble with changing into 3rd gear. It requires significantly more force compare to others that smoothly go in. Do you have a y ideas what could be a problem. I would be thankful for your help.

Cables, selector, gearbox, needs going to a mechanic really.

Just go 1st 2nd then fourth
