Hi all, I hope that someone may be able to help??

I am running win 7 pro which is fully updated and working fine, anyway I have fitted a bluetooth dongle CSR 4.0 inorder to use a bluetooth keyboard. windows has installed the dongle and it shows in device manager etc and states it is ready to use. The issue that I have is that when I go to add a device to find my keyboard it just hangs on the searching for devices forever and then the keyboards pairing times-out.

I have tried the keyboard using Bluesoleil 10 trail-software and it finds the keyboard via that with no problem. so why can't windows 7 bluetooth setup find it and work. If anyone knows how to fix this issue I would be very grateful, as I don't really want to buy bluesoleil 10 software.

Have you tried sourcing/installing the CSR Harmony Wireless stack instead
That is what I installed with a " LogiLink USB Bluetooth V4.0 EDR Class 1 Micro Adapter "
you should be able to take the driver from any dongle manufacturer who uses same chip as your dongle has.
I have not tried to get it working on win 10 though.
