Help New 144hz Monitor only available in 100hz

Hey Folks so just Bought this LG 34UC79G From here and must say its fantastic although when i go to change the Refresh rate 144hz isn't available.

Im currently using a GTX 650 TI and have the Supplied HDMI cable running through an Adapter into 1 of the DVI ports images below for reference please help

For starters, download the latest Nvidia drivers manually and then completely nuke your existing graphics drivers using this: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html My 165Hz screen wouldn't go above 120Hz until I did this.

Edit: Ah, you are using a 1440p monitor. This won't work at 144Hz over DVI. You need a graphics card with a Displayport out. Sorry for the bad news.

Il try that when I get home and it's Not 1440p it's 2560x1080

Unfortunately that resolution at a high refresh rate will still exceed DVI's bandwidth. It isn't going to hit 144Hz.

You need displayport.
