Help! new 8800 wont boot

Just an afterthought, but have you tried it with your old PSU?
Might be something wrong with your new one.

There is someone on here running a 320MB 8800GTS on a Seasonic 350w PSU (built into a Silentium case), so even if your old one isn't great, it might still run it, although it may cause the 8800 underperform.
 
Tried it with the old PSU with no drives etc. attached and still wouldn't boot. There are no beeps or anything, I think the card is dead :(

I will try it in the girlfriends computer later on, I'm to fed up at the moment to bother with it today.

I've got a returns number now, so I guess I will just have to send it back and wait for my replacement. bah humbug :(
 
Tried it in the gf's computer this morning, it's definatly b0rked. Will post it back tomorrow when the post office opens, and hopefully by next week will be gaming on my 8800!!!!

Never played Doom3 before, I've been waiting till I can put it on Ultra settings :D
