[help] new build advice

Right i haven't watched it all but here is a review of the GTX 960, R9 280 and R9 285 with side by side video of Crysis 3.

This, i hope, will give you an idea of what you will be getting for your money.

So with the r9 280
I'll also have 8gb of ram
Amd fx6300

And I'll be able to run the games I want with ease?

If so with those I stated above and a 1tb Hardrive
What sort of pSU should I be looking at?

Alright, first, yes, the games you want to run will run very well :)

Second, get an SSD, it will make a massive difference to the overall speed of your system.

People swear by the Crucial MX100 256GB SSD. The SK Hynix is better than the Kingston SSD's.

If you were to get a 256GB SSD you would be able to also run your games off it as well as Windows. You can then get a 1TB HDD later on for storage, music, vids, films and more games if you need the space etc.

As for a PSU, an Antec VPF 550W £49 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-236-AN&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2463

Or a Superflower Golden Green 550W £53 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-003-SF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2463

I have a Superflower 550W, cannot recommend it enough.

You will be good to go for the most part.

If your gaming at 720p,your GPU will have no problem. Its a a card thats still pretty good at 1080p.At 720p it should let you max out at pretty much any game.

I noticed the games you listed you intend to play, most of them are CPU heavy games, and worse than that Single thread heavy.I highly recommend Overclocking your CPU to maximize your gaming experience.

You also want one these PSU's,they are very good quality, and at best you could only save £10 if you just went for a 'decent' PSU :)
YOUR BASKET
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £52.99
Total : £62.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

This is what i have right now, to give an idea and comparison.

AMD FX 8320
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
8 GB 1866Mhz Ram
GTX 770
Kingston HyperX 120GB SSD
Western Digital 500GB HDD
Superflower 550W PSU
Bitfenix case.
IIyama 27" monitor.

I have another new 120GB SSD (for games), that i have yet to fit, not had the time.

Everything runs really well, and i bought almost all of it from OcUK.

The only thing i wish i had done differently is the SSD, i should have bought a 256GB one but i could not afford it at the time.
