Morning lads n lasses(??)

Spent Sunday installing new pc (parts below) and am having an issue with the case power switch and HDD Led front i/o i think.

Parts:

i7 2600k
Asrock Z68 Extreme 7 Gen 3
8gb Kingston Hyper Grey
Corsair H100
+My ATI 5850
+My Corsair HX1000 psu
+ My Coolermaster Cosmos S case

I can start pc via mobo or the case with set ups listed below, when the pc shuts itself down it is as if the button has been pressed. It shuts down, rather than a crash.

If I unplug the power button and HDD from mobo header and power up via mobo switch its fine.

If I plug in power button header and power up using case it boots and then shuts down randomly.

If I plug in the power button and HDD led connector in in wont boot at all.

Im thinking a short somewhere.... I havent tried outside case yet (lazy!), but hoped someone here might have a random idea.

Excuse quick post as at work and boss local!

Thanks Admiral

Ive always liked the cosmos s and dont want to loose it unless totally necs, especially as the H100 fits so nicley. :)

Excuse silly Q..., but I assume shorting the pins to turn pc on will just require a touch or does screw driver need to remain in place?

I am fairly confident it all went in ok, but I did have to slam shut the cable side of the case, which I guess may have damaged a cable. I'll check there too.

ok thanks. I'll try that one tonight.

Devil on my shoulder is trying to talk me into a new case.

Cosmos S is let down by the motherboard extension wiring and until i strip and braid it messes up my interior. ;)
