Help - New Build Nightmare

That psu is just rubbish and I would go as far as saying it's barely a step above a unbranded psu. For a so called 700w psu it only has 576w on the 12v rail and I actually doubt if it could deliver even that much. Any quality modern psu should be able to deliver all, or near enough all of it's power on the 12v rail. Even worse is that if you look at the label, Kolink only rates it for 600w total power for continuous usage. So much for it being a 700w psu but then again what did you really think you were getting for only £39. The psu is not the place to save money and is one of the single most important components in a pc. Buy a good one and it will last you through many upgrades. Hopefully if the new psu fixes your problem it's a lesson learnt but you should always buy a quality psu anyway.

Appreciate the feedback, looking back I don't actually know and wasn't aware, I haven't built a PC for many years.

You don't buy a Ferrari and run it on cheap **** fuel do you? lol

A lot of people don't realise the implications of cheap PSUs, you're not alone. People see the wattage rating and think that'll do.

At least you have rectified this now :) Fingers crossed it sorts your problems.

the seriously worrying thing is that OcUK use that very psu in some of their pre built systems.
