I eventually bought all my bits afters months of deciding. So start the build last night.
I initially put it together outside of the case to do first test, put the CPU (i5) into Motherboard (Gigabyte Z77X-D3H) as well as Memory and GPU (GTX 670). Plugged in PSU and then tested the power by shorting the 2 power pins. All the fans (PSU, CPU) started up. Great I thought.
I then fitted it to the case fitting the MoBo to the riser pins etc and tried another test, nothing! Took it all back out of the case to the same stage it initially worked and still nothing. I tried a different PSU and this has no effect either. I have looked around the Mobo to see if there is any screws etc around but can't see anything.
I am now completely stuck, I have no idea what could be wrong MoBo, CPU?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
