Built a new itx PC with a super flower 1200v from my last rig. The back of the case is lit with a few buttons. But it won't turn on at all. All connections have been checked, so I'm not sure what to do. Here's my spec:
6700k
Asus maximus viii impact
16gb memory Kingston 3300mhz
1080 ftw hybrid
1200w superflower

No, never tried that before, don't know how.
The motherboard has a power button on the back but it doesn't turn on from there.

I would be more inclined to suggest it's shorting on the case. If you build on the motherboard box, does it start then? Over tightening the motherboard standoff screws could have this affect.

Build out of case with minimum components. (always do this first)

Make sure everything is plugged in. Short the two pins PW+ and PW- (or whatever they are called, see manual)

Paperclip test PSU, (google).

Sounds like a defective motherboard to me, I'd get a replacement if I was you, exact same thing happened to me this week and had to order another mobo as it was my last option.

Well it's not the motherboard just received replacement and it's the same problem, motherboard lights up at the back, but the power button does nothing. We have tested the power button and there is power coming from it.

At least you've ruled out the motherboard now so that's a step in the right direction.

As others have suggested the best step now is to test it outside the case and with minimum parts installed, basically, just MB, CPU and 1 stick of RAM.

If that works start adding other parts one by one. If that doesn't work first try the other stick of RAM if still no good then by process of elimination it must be the CPU.

I've had similar problems a few times in my 20+ years building PC's so I feel your pain right now.

Really silly question, all power connections installed including 8 pin for power.

Do you have a multi-meter so you can the case button.

Okay will give that a try, we dont think its the memory as we tested that. So maybe its the cpu, ill give it a ago.

Yep connectors are in and we tested the case power button with a multi meter.

As per the manual - Pages 1-7 - what happens if you press the Start button on the back of the board? Tried a BIOS refresh using the button next to it? Any Q code? Verified DD4 RAM installed (As opposed to DDR3) Checked the mobo for bent pins? (Appreciate you have replaced mobo but you could have done it twice)

Tried a different PSU? Different ATX and 8 Pin cables? Out of the case?

Well it's started up, it was the CPU cooler not sitting on properly.
But I have another problem, my monitor can't pickup my graphics card. I have tried it in different display ports but I'm just getting a black screen and my monitor going into power saving mode. I've turned display port 1.2 on the monitor settings, but it didn't do anything. I've tried it on an old monitor but still the same.
I have a lg 34" super wide monitor, could I need a new display port cable?
