hey guys, im buying a new case for christmas and i need help;
the cooler master 430 elite http://www.coolermaster.co.uk/produc...roduct_id=6640,
i'm also buying 5 fans cooler master 120mm blue led's http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=4355.

basicly i have some computer knowledge, i have watched many videos and have replaced psu's, gpu's and RAM. i have a good idea how to take the computer apart and put it back together in the new case, although i am having abit of trouble getting my head round the front pannel connectors. and other wiring.

so i was wondering, please could some people kindly tell me what is the best / correct order to take apart, and re-build a computer (i know where all the components go, just need the order in which to put them in. the wires are which i am a bit stuck on)

Buy the Corsair Carbide 400R instead of the 430 and 5 fans - comes to roughly the same price as well!

Front panel connectors - they are relatively easy, look up where each wire goes in the manual (they should be in one 'block').

Couldn't agree with the above two. Absolutely no point in buying 5 fans, you should get a better case to begin with! What's your spec by the way?

Zalman Z9 Plus Tower Case with Fan Controller - Black, is only a tiny bit more expensive than the CM430 but comes WITH 4 x 120mm fans, fan controller and temperature readout.

If you can up your budget just a bit more, then consider these;

Corsair Carbide 400R Midi Tower Case - Black

Bitfenix Raider Tower Case - Black

WRT front panel connectors, I tend to take a photo before unplugging them. Otherwise just get the motherboard manual out and follow it from there. The FP connector leads are all labelled anyway.

As for building it my order would be,

PSU,
Attach CPU cooler to motherboard,
Fit motherboard (not forgetting brass stand offs),
Graphics card,
HDDs & DVD-RW,
Attach SATA data & power leads,
Front panel & audio connectors.

merry christmas! it turns out that i have only 3 fans, including the one at the front which comes with the case, im wanting to create poistive preasure inside the case (for obvious reasons) please can you guys help me place the fans.

im thinking intake at the front
intake on the side
outtake at the back?
how would this work out and will 3 fans be enough? planning to get 3 more soon, or should i get a cpu cooler first.

i havent built my system yet. will be building it boxing day, iv looked a the front pannel connectors and their seems to be 4/5 of them whish me luck :P

no you want like 10 fans to get what you want ;)

but seriously you don't need to worry about positive/negative pressure.

all you really need is a front intake and a rear exhaust, can use the 3rd fan on the side panel(if it has a fan mount) for extra cooling for the graphics card or roof exhaust(if it has a roof fan mount/s).

my graphics card is running pretty hot ill probaly use the 3rd fan as a intake to help cool the graphics card :). ill go for the cpu cooler then planning on getting my i3 550 to 4.5Ghz :)

hey, i am looking to buy 3 more fans so i will have 6, i was just going to buy the same as the fans i already have. then i saw these fans down from £25 - £3.81
and im just wondering, what's so good about them fans that they were £25? and should i buy 3 of them instead. it appears that they have less rpm and air flow ( confused face ) why are these more expensive! :S. hope you all had a great christmas
