So my new computer arrived today and ive spent the past few hours setting it up, everything is in place but when i press the power button nothing happens. The green light on my motherboard is on but nothing happens.
Ive tried taking out all the unnesscary stuff and it still wont work.

specs:

q6600
asus p5q pro
4 gig ocz 800mhz
asus 3650
460w coolermater

Checked all power cables are connected including the 4 or 8 pin for CPU power.
Try a CMOS reset.
POwer button connected and working.

Try to install the bare minium just the cpu and the graphics card. If still doesn't work check the power connection between the graphics card and the power supply. If still doesn't work then come back here again.

Tried everything, on another website some guy had the same problem and later realized it was due to the case shorting out the board, he didnt have any standoffs.
What are standoffs? I got some gold like screws with my casew but didnt kno what they were, could this be it?

Okay just took took the screws of the mobo out and put some some newspaper inbetween the mobo and the case and it switched on :)

So not putting in those damn standooffs caused all this mess
