Help, new drivers just make everything low res

I've just updated to 169.21 (i think it is) and I can't get my resolution up, it just stays on 640x480!

had to rewind and now its fine.

I'm running an 8800gts gainward bliss

Make sure you delete all of your old drivers from you PC, use the Driver Clean up tool utility or whatever it is, you will find it on this forums, to make sure that you drivers have been removed. Then install the latest Nvidia Drivers, and it should auto-detect your resolution and set it to max straight away. If not then you need to go into the settings and change it manually, if the problem persists then you have done something wrong, or i really don't know what else the problem can be.

Hi, sorry for slow reply its all sorted, ArcAne151s method worked a treat.

I could see all/select all the resolutions, but it wouldn't let me use them!

Well that's one way of improving framerates...
