Just built the i7 and it wont boot, just an orange light on the monitor
here are the main parts
Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Patriot Viper 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600MHz) Low Latency Tri-Channel (PVT36G1600LLK) + 3D Mark Vantage Benchmarking Software
OCZ StealthXStream 700w Silent SLI Ready Power Supply
ASUS P6T SE iX58 Socket 1366 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
Everything powers, board, Gcard and even the harddrive. haven't got a speaker on the tower to check for beeps.
What I have tried so far:
Board is out of the case. I have replace the scyth CPU cooler with the stock one that came with the chip. I have all the cables connected and even swapped out the gcard for mine.
Only thing I have noticed is looking at the motherboard without the cpu the little tabs between the pins some are not there??? maybe my eye it maybe supposed to be like that
