Hello

I've just moved over to Pc gaming from consoles. Finding MW3 Battlefield etc. a little frustrating.

I'm ok moving around however I find hitting the C key to prone difficult

Would I find investing in a gaming mouse a big benefit, if so which ones.

Currently i am using a standard wireless MS 3 Button mouse.

Many Thanks

Yeah a gaming mouse with programmable buttons will definitely help you out.

I use the arrow keys for moving and nor w,a,s,d as most people see to do.

I'm currently using the Logitech Wave cordless keyboard which came with the MX1100 wireless mouse, which isn't strictly a gaming mouse but the setpoint software allows you to configure everyting to your own preference. I would definitely recommend a Logitech mouse. I have basically got 8 programmable buttons, not including the left and right click. And the good thing about the setpoint software is you can create profiles for different games and other applications.

Other than Logitech I have heard good things about Roccat mice.

I am the same, i don't really like the c button and for most new games i get when they use it to crouch i will move it to another key. It is rare that i find myself to run out of buttons i am confortable with. I have a decent mouse the Razer Deathadder but I only use one side button really but always put something that i want to react to quickly. For games like MW3 this thumb button will always be my knife.

ive only been pc gaming for 6 months or so and i really struggled at first till i bought a razer imperator mouse and boy it helped me...

prone grenade reload crouch/use all on me mouse...plus the standard buttons fire etc...

Have you tried just remapping it to something more accessible? I like using shift for run/walk, ctrl for crouch and alt for prone. My fingers naturally sit over WASD, ctrl and the space bar so all very easy to access.

I hate when games use the C button especially for crouch. WASD to move Q for previous weapon (or grenade depending on the game), E for use, R for reload, F for flashlight/grenade/whatever. L-Shift Sprint/Walk, L-Ctrl Crouch and Z for prone.

Also I can recommend Logitech mice but have just moved to a Steelseries and it is way better than the Logitech gaming mice I have used before. My side buttons are weapon change and mouse wheel for knife.

I only use the scroll function on my mouse at work or on the internet! I never use it for weapon swapping and always use 1-6 e.t.c. I think this is from when I used to play CS back in the day, buttons just seem much quicker for pulling out a pistol than scrolling through weapons using the wheel.

It`s scientifically proven fact that games that use C for crouch are gay.

Get a nice logitech mouse (I like my mx518) and try something like this:

ctrl - crouch
space - jump
mouse 3 - prone
mouse 4 - spam/throw grenade
