HELP! New vista install is doing my **** in!!

Hi, it won't let me bloody do anything without popping up a window saying would I allow it or go to a link on the internet without it starting up a new internet explorer window or allow me to download anything!!! What settings do I turn off, it's doing my nuts in.

just read what it says on the screen

download tweakuac and set it to silent mode, or just do all windows updates and youl'l get less messages.

install firefox and adblock plus with the 'easylist' subscription.

I'm using fireforx fully updated but everytime I load \anything or even when windows starts it bloody pops up asking if you would like to run this in the background, very annoying.

Don't mean to hijack a thread, but don't really want to start a new one for such a small problem, but on vista; how do you make it so all the windows you open in IE, are maximized already and don't require you to resize or maximize them?

When configuring the computer you are making lots of changes to the Operating System - in order to protect your computer, Vista's UAC is making you confirm that you did wish these changes to happen.

Disabling UAC or the prompts is not recommended.
