Hello and welcome to the forum :)

Your system is still fairly decent, what performance issues are you getting?

What is the make / model of the ram?

I think you're mistaken regarding the speed of the ram. Either that or you're running some really weird dividers.

As for the rest of the system it looks ok. The 570 is still a great card, the motherboard and cpu are still fine for gaming and the PSU is fine.

If anything, and based on your confusing description, I'd say your monitor is letting the side down.

just seems to have laggy parts in the game..dont no what to upgrade ? monitor upgrade maybe

If its possible, on the side if the ram module this will show ram speed, voltage and timings, you would need to configure these in the BIOS manually.

so do you think it could be the monitor? i was thinking about upgrading to sli and may change the mobo processor and ram all so ssd ? how much would it cost roughly ? if any one could come up with a build it would be a big help :-)

SLI might be worth it depending on what games you're playing, otherwise it's a strong enough system for gaming at 1920x1200.

Bf3 all the way! and i wouldn't mind spending 700 800 pounds to have a mini overhaul ? but i do think a hd led monitor might satisfy me though.... i hope

Not seeing the value in it to be honest. Sure, you could spend £400 on a new graphics card but it wouldn't be enough of a step up for me to recommend it.

Monitors can be personal taste and I'm not an expert on those, for that you'd be better off asking in the monitors sub-forum: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=85

1 x ASRock Z77 Extreme4 M Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £101.99
1 x XFX Pro 750W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £82.99

I don't know what 570 you have but I've just put this one in here so you can see the price of it all. I'd recommend saving the money spent to upgrade the PSU and a second GTX 570, and get a GTX 670 instead and then selling your GTX 570.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Samsung S23A350H 23" Widescreen LED Monitor - Glossy Black £101.99
Total : £113.39 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Also, if your quick there's this monitor, but it's a pre-order price only and ends tomorrow.

The components looks good really. The 570 is still a very good card (6950 / 7850).

If your memory is running at 800mhz, then that wouldn't be its normal operating speed. I would expect twice that.

Does it show as 6GB? All in the same channel? What's the memory model number?

Your monitor is 1200p and perfectly fine afaik. That's a bit more demanding than 1080p but I have no issues with a 6950 at that resolution. If you are experiencing slow downs in battlefield, reduce or remove the anti aliasing, and select post processing anti aliasing (FXAA).

Oh yeah, get a cooler and overclock that CPU. 3.8GHz should be achievable, and since you should have a look at the BIOS settings anyway...

You can try the win 8 developer beta as well and see how it goes.

Your system specs are fine, I would look at the ram timings as these seem strange, probably not set up properly in bios

As previously stated the best bang for buck upgrade you could do would be an SSD and a copy of win7

If you wanted too you could get more out of your processor, with a half decent cooler you could get that up to 3.8-4

When you say "feels laggy" what do you mean? My old drive started going faulty and every few minutes it would just start crunching away disk activity light on constantly for about 20 seconds.....if your problem sounds like this might be worth doing a disk check

That's a good system mate. No need to replace anything.

Well, apart from the OS anyway :p

Buy yourself a copy of windows 7 64 bit and a crucial m4 ssd and you're all set :)
