I left my machine on overnight the other day and when I came down in the morning it had crashed. When I restarted it I had a `no signal being received` error on my monitor and no power signal on my keyboard or mouse. After a few checks I suspected the graphic card and replaced it with a brand new one. Same error - I have tried reseating the new card without any luck. As I am a complete newbe to this am I right in thinking that the fault is with the motherboard? or is it the processor or ram?

I would be tempted to reset CMOS. It will be a jumper on the mobo. Check your mobo manual for how this is done.
