HELP noob problems (keyboard keys)

HELP noob problems

somehow sticky keys (or something) has been turned on_ on my mums laptop
and it seems like the shiftkey is being held down constantly

which means one two three four five (etc) on the keyboard appear as
!"£$%^&*()

and i cant use punctuation at all because it comes up as <>?
{}


any ideas on what i can do to turn this stuff off?

sticky keys are turned off and i@ve tried dissabling them all in accesabilities options

also opening programs in explorer need to be right click_ then opened>>> otherwise they try and open multiple programs ala shift being held down

please help< this is bloody annoying

also even clicking anywhere in a web browser make shift selections as well

Have you tried plugging a normal keyboard in? (assuming your laptop has a plug for it). If you get the problem still, its a setting in windows, if it works fine, its the keyboard on the laptop. (I'd imagine anyway)

just realised i posted this in GD

also just noticed that caps lock is turned on as i type this

if i turn it off this happens NO CAPS HERE

any ideas?

fixed it... sticky keys were turned on (although they clearly weren't)

close delete whatever... sorry for the pointless thread
