Help not sure which one amd or intel

Hi this is my first post so hi to every one. Im thinking about building a new system. ive always use amd cpu in the past but have been reading about intel i7 cpu as this may be my last build for a while i want it to be as fast as possible. Also which M/b board ive always used asus in the past your input would be most helpful .

my vote is for intel i5 or i7, motherboards more of a personal choice really, theres allways good and bad things with every maker, took me around a month last year to decide which p45 board to get, this time was easyier as i went straight for last years make as was very pleased with the p45 board

Depends what your budget is but for me MSI GD70 and a Phenom 11 965, the AM3 will be around longer than the intel sockets so better for upgrading in the future.

They're both good, just depends what you can afford or are willing to spend. If you just game then the i5 will be perhaps be the better option. All overclock well.
