help nvida 8800 gt

:mad:can some one advice me please around two months ago i bought two 8800 gt cards psi from overclockers unfortunately one went wrong on my son computer , the computer would turn on but it would not pick up the monitor :confused:
so being the good dad i removed the one from my computer and placed it in his still nothing happen:eek:

swooped them back now mine will not pick up the monitor:eek:two computer not one working any suggesting

well that is odd unless by some chance your one died from a static shock when you were moving the card between the PCs. It could have been caused by your sons mobo or psu.

Your best bet is to just RMA them and also try and find some crapy card and plug it into your PC just to make sure it's not your mobo then try your sons pc and if that doesn't work try it again in your pc. If that card then goes duff you know something is up with his pc.
 
I had something similar with my 6600gt and my dad's pc, much older card but Have you tried turning the power supply off and on again?

I think it was something to do with the power to the card, probably isn't the same though as its a different card, might be worth a try though :)
 
Not wanting to insult here (as I've done this myself!!) but you have remembered to plug in the power cable to the card after swapping them?
