OK, Just had my first go at o/cing my CPU. My spec is in my sig before I start

I seem to hit a barrier at stability on my X2 at ~2.27 GHz. This with the following settings

FSB = 227
Multi = x10
HTT = x4
Ram = 333 divider
Vcore = 1.41V (gone upto 1.51V but no difference in stability)
Vchipset = 1.8V

I am using the following progs

Speedfan
Prime Ortho
Clockgen <- using this to adjust the FSB

Just testing the FSB I can get it stable up to 250 when I run the multi at x8 and RAM at 333 – but not tested further.

When I put the multi to x10 and run with the FSB at 230 I then get a failure on one of the cores after about 2 mins of using Prime Ortho; upping the Vcore seems to make no difference to the stability.

I was hoping to get to 2.4, maybe 2.5 so I’m asking

1) am I doing this right (I have read Jokester FAQ and that’s why I know how far the FSB will go [atm anyway])
2) Any suggestions how I can squeeze a bit more out of this CPU

Or is it I just have a really bad clocker? :(

Temps are about 41/42C with 1.41V and upto 49 at 1.51V - nothing to spectacular from my mind anyway.

Well BIOS is looking good,

Currently at 2.4 stable at 1.49V - is this a good o/c for a 3800?, can;t find any obvious threads on this one.....

Might try and edge it upto 2.5 though I might need to bring in a better air cooler..... (Zalman 9700 or Ninja Sythe?)
