I feel a bit of a dunce at the moment, never overclocked before and just reading the guide on here, then checked back at the BIOS but couldn't find anything that explicitly said it altered the FSB. Can't find anything in the manual either.

Also, what is a safe temp for a i5? I had some problems fitting my HSF, I think it's ok, under P95 I get 60-65c under load at stock though so I'm not certain if that's a good sign? Maybe I could do with re-seating my HSF?

EDIT:
/facepalm I worked out how to change the FSB, but my temps are still worrying me, I don't want to remove the HSF if I don't need to as it was a pain to install, however if it is causing issues then I will re-seat it. Also, my cables are a total mess while I wait for my cable braiding stuff to arrive, so is it possible that this is causing extra heat?

EDIT2:
Ignore this, again... been too long since I last slept, decided not to overclock right now because in my state I'll blow something up

this wont cause extra heat when you keep them together that will cause extra heat. its like getting into a sleeping bag. that is not your problem as well as hide are wires and braid them. dont clock you pc till you get that hsf sorted your temps on stock should be about 40c load ive got a q9550 clocked from 2.8 to 3.6 at 65c
