Hi all,

i have just received my 8Gb 10.1" ultima tablet (android 4.1). Nice bit of kit and looks like it will do what i need.

But I am having issues with the internal storage. I have installed a few apps and it is now popping up error messages saying I am out of space.

I have went to settings/storage to see what is wrong as i have not installed 8Gb of apps. The device break down is 504Mb Internal Storage and 5.75Gb NAND Flash. The apps are installing to the internal and not on the NAND which is why it is now full.

Is this correct? Should the apps not be installing to the NAND by default and that 504Mb should be system only?

I know i can move the apps to SD storage, but we are talking about the internal/built in 8Gb here.

Thanks

Done some checking and indeed the apps are meant to get installed to the system partition by default. In this case it is only 504Mb, not enough to even update all of the default apps like Maps and Chrome! And these can not be moved to SD.

It is possible to increase the partition, but with a lot of work rooting it. So have returned it to OcUK. Hope this helps clear things up for anybody else who come across this.

Do you have a link to the directions for increasing the partition? I might have a go at it. The tablet's useless otherwise :(
