Howdy folks,
I've been having a few issues with my PC lately after my PSU fan died which led me to replace it. My problems started after deciding to upgrade to Win7 (previously on Vista). Did a fresh install from the disc, and formatted my hard drive. After a couple of days, I was experiencing blue screen that would persist while booting up but would go away after doing that 3-4 times, but after that it would do that again another few times and would persist no matter how many times I booted up.
I thought it might have something to do with my RAM so decided to do a full diagnostics of it with memtest - however after 90 minutes, no errors appeared and then that lead me to believe my hard drive was to blame. So decided to purchase a new one as I wanted a 1tb one anyhow. But after reinstalling the OS onto it for the hundredth time (exaggeration
), updated ect ect.. I experienced one bsod (haven't experienced anymore since) but it also froze forcing me to turn off via the power button.
Anyway - any help would be appreciated, it cannot be that two hard drives to be expericing the same problems could it? Could it also have something to do with the OS itself? Now I haven't had any more bsods since that first one, but I'm not holding my breath.
Apologize for this novel of a post but will appreciate any advice/insight on this matter. Cheers
