So I'm currently on the market for a new monitor, I bought a cheap Acer S240HL but I'm not fully satisfied with it. My budget would be a max of £300 but will only pay that much if it's really worth it.

I'm looking for something that's either 24inch or 27inch, I mostly use my pc for university work, browsing and gaming. I am unsure if I should go with a IPS Panel monitor or a Benq 120hz, any suggestions would be awesome.

If you game a lot especially on first person shooters get the 120hz if you have a graphics card capable of playing games above 60fps. Otherwise get the IPS.

I game quite a lot on League of Legends at the moment, but will probably look into playing some other games in the near future. I have a 7950 graphic card.

I'm currently considering these:
Benq XL2411T (120hz)
AOC i2757 (IPS)
LG IPS277L (IPS)

I have the Benq and can't fault it once calibrated. Was horrible at stock settings though. I think IPS is a waste unless you do photo/video editing but that's my opinion. You'd have to view both to make your decision 100%.
