Help on fresh install on a Dell

Really need todo a fresh install for my dad on his cough dell cough.

Never done one before.

Is it case of just inserting the dell recovery disc and clicking away.

Read online about iso's burning images etc.

Any help would be great

It was new and have loads's of cd's

So is it a case of just putting in the recovery discs. Info online is :S
