help on GFX cards

ok i have 2 6970's CF

i have 3 options...

get another 6970 for tri fire

get another 6990 for... 6970 6970 6990 quad fire over kill

or wait for the next gen of gfx cards...

Wait till the new cards come out and lets see what they bring to the table, also there will be many 2nd hand 6970's I bet around then. 3 x 6970's will be a great setup and I hear 3 cards in crossfire/trifire balance out any stutters and makes the game play smoother. If you find a good deal on the 2nd hand market for one grab it. Don't do quad fire, the drivers suck bad for quad fire and in some cases makes some games perform worse then on crossfire (2 cards), Tri fire is the way to go with them cards. So either 1 x 6990 + 1 x 6970 or 3 x 6970. Up to you mate but is your PSU able to run 3 cards ?

Providing your psu is up to it then I'd probably just go for another 6970.
