Help on GFX for new build

Hi

I am building a pc for the daughter and would like some advice on what Nvidia or ATI card would suffice for her to play games on i.e Driving & Sims 2 I'm not looking for anything overkill, just something that will play decent settings 1680 x 1050 and cheap as poss.

Well they are pretty low power games, whats your budget?

The budget is probably £70 & under.

The 8600GTS does look like a shiner at the moment. As far as i'm aware, they are about on par with the 7800GT's or am I wrong?

I will have to get a DX10 card as she wants to go the Vista route.

Better than the 7800GT. My old 7800GT got approx 4.5k on 3DM06, the 8600GTS gets me 6.8k

Interesting scores. I might have to get one to replace my 7900GS and give that to her for the time being.
