Im looking to by the new 120hx gsync wide screen monitors

Ive looked at 3, can anyone tell me the best one please?

ASUS ROG Swift PG349Q 34 (this was £869 on sale but ive missed it £1100, now

Alienware 34 Curved Gaming Monitor - AW3420DW 2nd gen £984.00

LG 34GK950G 34" 3440X1440 NANO IPS G-SYNC £899

They are all 120hz IPS and wide screen with gsyn

The LG has Nano IPS, meaning small Pixels?

my current LG 32GK850G-B 32" 2560X1440 has fat and ugly pixels, even now typing this the red line underneath a spelling errror is going up n down

My previous Asus monitor has a single red line meaning the pixels are smaller, so a sharper image, i know weird way to compare pixels sizes.

So out of the 3 chosen which is the best monitor?

Have you tried changing the cable for your monitor to see if that sorts the issue out?

I'd be tempted by the LG though.

cable is fine, i moved from a 27 inch Asus 144hz to a 32 inch LG, and the pixels are bigger and its not as sharp as the Asus I had, so it has to go

Im gonna get a widescreen but all 3 of the above monitors as good, im leaning towards the 420DW though but the LG having nano IPS sounds better

anyone has that LG screen?

I was in the same boat as you, in the end I went for the Alienware AW3420DW as the warranty is miles better then the LG.

I may be wrong but I am sure the LG and Alienware both use the same panel.

Edit. Just checked the Dell site and the AW3420DW is also a nano IPS panel.

I would get the Alienware for the warranty and ease of support with Dell (and in fact that's what I did do).

so the LG and the Alienware are the same panel, what about the Asus, it seems that this doesnt have the Nano IPS,

Are the pixels small on these monitors? the pixels on my previous Asus P279Q are smaller than my current LG 32GK850G-B 32 which looks like 1080p, even with the display port cable.
what would you guys choose from the:

ASUS ROG Swift PG349Q 34
Alienware 34 Curved Gaming Monitor - AW3420DW

LG 34GK950G 34" 3440X1440 NANO IPS G-SYNC

The general consensus is that there's little to split the Alienware and the LG, after all they're the same panel. Most err towards the AW as Dell's monitor warranty is near legendary status and includes onsite swap or even delivering a new one and asking you to return the old one within 2 weeks. And it's easy to extend the warranty for up to 5 years as well.

Its a no brainer, buy the Dell.

Also best to order by phone or chat online to a Dell expert as i managed to blag an extra 2 years warranty for free so now have 5 Years in total.:p

Would you really want to deal with Asus if you had a problem? and LG's warranty doesn't seem up to much.

With the Dell Alienware you get the Premium Panel Guarantee.

Nano IPS isn't smaller pixels.

LG’s Nano IPS technology involves nanoparticles which are applied to a LED backlight of an IPS-panel display. These particles absorb excessive light wavelengths in order to increase color gamut of a display.

34" 3440x1440 will have more pixels per inch than your 32" 2560x1440, so will be crisper. 109.68 PPI versus 91.79 PPI on the latter. And a 27" 2560x1440 has 108.79 PPI.

Also, I think the Dell is a no-brainer as well for the reasons already stated. I'd love one for myself but have to settle for something a bit more modest.
