My mate is looking to build a pc with some existing parts and buy a new motherboard. He is a student so he has to budget. He will be using it mainly to to play CounterStrike source. He knows the spec wont run it amazingly he just wants it to run smoothly and reliable.
Currently he has got these parts

Nvidia 9800GT PCI Express 512MB DDR3 256bit
Intel E5200 Dual Core CPU with Frequency 2.5GHz, FSP 800MHZ and L2 Cache 2MB
425W, 12V PSU - he wants to get a new PSU
500GB Hard Drive
2 X 1GB GGR2 RAM sticks @ 667MHZ
Some random DVD Drive xD
Some random gaming case with 2 fans and 3 slots for more

Can any one find me a compatible, reliable and reasonable motherboard, around £80-£120 possibly?

425W will be enough, as long as the PSU is a good one.

the 500W is just nvidia coverign themselves from poorly made PSUs that claim to proved a lot of power, but in reality cant.

425W is likely to be Hiper PSU, and no matter how reliable mine has been for me, if you look around there have been 4 blown up in the last 3 days...

b grade comes without stuff like drivers etc but sometimes you get something with everything there ........ you can guarantee that if you get a psu you will get a working psu :)
