hi all help needed do i buy this i have about £360 to spend on a new card

or do i wait and see how much Nvidia dx11 cards will be ive always had Nvidia but ATI at the mo i think have the edge ? value for money

creative xfi
MSI 750i mobo
acer al2216wn 1680x1050 but thinking of changing or having two 22inch
card iam buying XFX ATI Radeon HD 5870 XXX 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Depnds on your time scale. Fermi is not likely to appear until April at the earliest. Supply looks like it will be tight and the rumour mill is saying that the card will be hot.

If you have the time, wait till the summer to see what NV brings to the table. If you want to upgrade before then, the 5870 is the smart choice. With your budget even the 5970 looks good provided your case is big enough.

How long is the card ? tried looking on the web but cant find the lenth

309mm x 110mm x 40mm (W x H x D), it's over an inch longer than the reference 5870. In old money it translates to just over a foot !
