Hi guys, I have a problem with overclocking my Q9500 on my Asus P5P43TD motherboard. I've looked around and couldn't find anything. I am wanting to overclock from 2.83Ghz to 3.4Ghz by upping the FSB to 400x8.5, which I successfully done yesterday, but it wasn't stable, the only way I can up the voltages is by +50mv, +100mv and +150mv.
After overclock.
I'm not exactly sure on my heatsink but here's a picture of it next to my 6870 GPU and a fosters can so you can see the size of it.
I also have Samsung 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333mhz, set at 5-5-5-15-2T when I was running at 3.4Ghz which showed 1:1 in CPU-Z, I set it to 800mhz in the BIOS, not sure if that was the right thing to do or not though.
Anyone information on how to be able to change the VCORE would be awesome.
Case is Antec 1200 V3.
