hello all, I have come for some advice. This is the specs of my pc,

ASRock K8NF4G-SATA2 Motherboard
1.5gb ram 1x1024mb stick (DDR PC3200) 1x 512mb (DDR PC2100)
80gb hd IDE.
DVD drive.
AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3400+ @2.4ghz stock cooler.
X1600pro PCI-E 512mb
600w powersupply can't rember make but i had to get it for grapics card.
Windows vista Ultimate

I basicly can't afford to upgrade to my next pc (going to be C2D) I want to overclock it some more because i think i could get it at 2.6/2.7. I just need to know what do i need i mean whats a good heatsink. I have 2 good case fans. Its just the cpu getting hot thats holding me back. I would like to get as high as i can stable because this pc has got to last me another 6 months untill i can build a new one. I basicly have £100 for a new hd (need) was going to get a SATA so it sould be faster. i see theres no point upgrading the ram as i only have 2 slots and used both. Can you please suggest some ideas of what to buy to upgrade and overclock higher. Because with the stock heatsink it hits 44c playing bf2 for around 2 hours.

Thanks Phil

Yeah thats what i have found. It won't overclock any more anyway won't boot at 2.5ghz :(

I am saving up for a C2D

Can't decide which one to get though.

Phil

I should be able to buy in about a week.

I see you have the 6600 is that a good overclocker. Whats the diffrence like with having 4mb L2 compared to 2mb
