Hi all,

Got most of my new PC list set in stone! (I think ;) ), see below.

I7 920 CPU (intend overclocking to around 3.5Ghz)
Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 Dual Fan CPU Cooler
Asus P6T Deluxe
Corsair 6gb 1600MHz XMS3
2 x Seagate 1TB hard drive's
LG GGW-H20L optical drive
Lina Li PC-80B Case
XFX GTX 295
X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion sound card
Vista Ultimate X64

I need some advice on PSU's please. I have had a PSU go on me before taking out my CPU and Mobo so this area I am quite apprehensive.

What make of PSU are good for reliablility, build quality and lifespan ?

What kind of power rating should I be looking at for the setup above?

What would you recogmend I go for?

I know the case is BIG so I guess cable length is important.

Thanks in advance.

I would go for either

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W Power Supply for £103. Great PSU well made and silent.

or

Zalman ZM750-HP Heatpipe Cooled 750W Modular PSU £118

If you want to save money you could go for a 600W.

Personal opinion i would change the hardrives for some Samsung f1 or Western Digital 1TB

seagates been having terrible failures lately i would swap it for the samsung F1's also.

For PSU a nice zalman, corsair, coolmaster modular PSU.
