Hi everyone,

I was wondering it people on here could help me out a little bit please. I am wanting to get myself a new MAC but I don't know all that much about them, preferably a Mac book rather than an Imac but I am open to either option.

I have had an Imac previously but it is about 4 years old now, probably older and I never did anything to upgrade it and it is still runnin on Tiger.

I'm mainly asking as I am unsure on what type of specs would be good for what I want it for. I don't want it for high end gaming as I have my Gaming PC for that, but I want it for things like Web Design, Graphic design etc, and the odd game here or there.

I don't really want to spend too much on one though, maybe something inbetween £1000 and £1300. So if I was doing things like design, what processor speed and RAM would you reccomend for example?

Thanks in advance

Sorry for not saying thanks to everyone, so I know it is late but thank's everyone.

I went out and bought a 13" Macbook Pro on Saturday, I am enjoying it so far and it is certainly doing everything I want it to do. I luckily got it on buy now and pay in 9 months, normally I get rejected.

Thanks again all.

I actually got it from Currys. I didn't even think of trying the official Apple store to be honest so I just got it from Currys.

I chose a Macbook as it's so much easier for me to take it from one place to another, as I'm hoping to learn design and what not, and as where I wanted to keep my PC for gaming etc I thought I'd use my Mac for design. Plus I wanted XCode again. Only to find out you don't get it free anymore :(.
