Help on upgrading from an i5 750

Currently using an i5 750 alongside an xfx 7950. I have had the 750 for a good few years now and am off to uni in September. I was thinking of upgrading before I went to uni whilst I had the money just in case anything did happen whilst I was at uni and couldn't afford to upgrade there and then. I did previously look at OC but now am wondering if just buying a new cpu will be better. Don't really want to spend more than about 350/400£ but more money is there if needed. I use my PC mainly for gaming and mainly for playing CSGO.

Yeah I looked at a 2700K and there is one for sale on ebay now at 150£ but other than that one not been able to find many but I only had a brief search. Cheers for the advice.

I have an old gpu, psu and case so I think I will just buy some extra ram and have second pc at my house which can last untill it dies then I can do whatever with it. Alright sound is that processor going to be worth getting from eBay do you think?

If you mainly play CSGO then why do you need to upgrade at all :S

Because of the chance of it packing up whilst I'm at uni and not having the money to do it at the time.
