Hi Chaps,

I'm about 5 years behind in keeping up with PC hardware...I need your help.

I want a small form factor PC that is capable of outputting to my HD LCD TV (1388 x 768).

I want the best specs for a figure of LESS than £400 - including Windows Media Center (excluding monitor, keyboard, mouse).

Please help, I don't even know which RAM type goes with what (why are there so many DDR speeds?)

Cheers,
Dan

Aopen X-Cube EZ482 Black £139.95

AMD Athlon64 3000 Venice OEM Socket 939 £33.10

120GB Seagate Barracuda SATA [8MB] ST3120811A £33.95

Microsoft Media Center 2005 OEM £60.55

LiteOn 18x DL DVD-RW+RAM £21.59

2 x 512Mb DDR400 RAM Generic £59.90

That comes to £349.04+VAT = £410.12 which is a couple of pounds over budget, but the X-cube is small, neat and has an HDTV output. All the cables and the PSU are all built in to it as well. You could save £30 by doing down to 512Mb of RAM, but I wouldn't recommend it.
