hi, I have overclocked my MSI 7950 twin frzr but not sure if I have done it right!

I have used MSI Afterburner and have used the following settings

Core Voltage (mV) 1020
Power Limit (%) +5 (I dont really understand this)

Core Clock (Mhz) 1073
Memory Clock (Mhz) 1350

It runs stable but I want to push it higher but not sure what a safe voltage or power limit would be?

You may be different but the voltage on mine makes very little difference to what OC i can achieve.

The power limit is a good thing to increase, as it suggests, it allows more power (from the PSU) to reach the card.. I had mine set a 114% i think.. but the most that reached the card was 107% due to the GPU bottlenecking the power (not a bad thing).

I'd suggest you whack you're core to 1100 then leave it (if its stable) then see how much you can get on the memory. From my experience i see better gains on faster memory than i do core.

Im not a 7950 user, i use a 670. :)

Benching i run 1.28v at 1200/1640.

Gaming i run 1.2v at 1100/1400

Power control set to +20% all done thru afterburner.

Run 3dmark or similar and check your scores.

I am running mine at 1025 / 1450 1.125V (up from 925 / 1250) which is just an arbitrary boost where games run the fan more audibly than I would prefer so I stopped there. It is perfectly happy running heaven and Valley benches at that setting.

Could never get my HIS HD 7950 FAN stable at anything over 950 (volt-limited I think).
So I flashed the vbios with a 'BOOST' edition.

Now happily benched 1150/1450, but folding 24/7 @ 1100/1400 @ 1.175V.

I managed to get on my pc briefly tonight. I set the following:
voltage to 1.15V
Power limit to 15%
The core clock to 1100MHz
The ram to 1500MHz

It was all stable so pushed it to

voltage to 1.175V
Power limit to 15%
The core clock to 1120MHz
The ram to 1550MHz

I ran the benchmarks for bioshock infinite and sleeping dogs. Is there a way to check if its completely stable or would those two be enough?
