Hi all:D

OK so im trying to oc my P4 530 and im having a few problems....

The main one is that i cant get it to go past 3.6Ghz, this is due to not being able to put the bus speed past 240Mhz in the bios without it stopping the sata from working?

Here is a screen shot of CPU-Z....

If someone can help me with that problem then i will be needing help with overclocking it further.

Thanks

OK so i brought a pci sata card...

How do i get it to boot my hard drive?

It works but only after it has booted into windows so what i need now is to know how to get it to boot my primary hard drive without needing windows?

You may well have to reinstall Windows and provide the driver during the installation in order to get it to work with your primary HD.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. You're unlikely to get it past about 4GHz, which is only a 10% improvement over what you have. You'd see a much bigger improvement by waiting until you can get a cheap Core2 motherboard and a basic dual-core CPU like an E2200. Overclock that and it would destroy your P4.
