Im having troubles overclocking my 8600GT recently. I have been using RivaTuner to overclock, and it was working a treat! But now whenever i apply an overclock setting, it seems to revert to defaults when i close the overclocking section of RivaTuner?? 
I have left the status window open during games to see if the clock rate changes like it used to and it doesnt, it stays at stock speeds! 
Any ideas whats going on?
Also, what temperatures are acceptable for graphics cards? My card is a Leadtek 8600GT, 256mb GDDR3. Idle seems to be around 45-50c, and load is bang on 70c. Is this ok?? What would be a max temp?
