Hi,
I got my PC a number of years ago from OC and it came Overclocked at 4.2. Somewhere along the line i did a bios update and lost these settings.

Recently, since editing higher res videos my PC has been struggling and I wanted to get it back to 4.2

I have watched more videos than i care to remember and the support guides on this site, but im getting confused. I think mainly because my board has slightly different names to whats listed so i am not 100% what to change.

I did find a good video on youtube with a board very similar and i have used the recommended settings from that which has helped me get up to 4, but pushing the CPU Clock and Uncore ratio further causes issues. Below is all the settings it said to change.

CPU Clock Ratio - 35 to 40
Uncore ratio 35 - 40
CPU VRIN loadline calibration, auto - medium
CPU Core voltage 1.18
DRAM voltage auto 1.5 to 1.5

Right now at 4 - I can run prime95 for hours with temps going no higher than mid 70's. Seems rock solid. But if i go to 4.1 - run prime95, temps stay around 60-70 but then it freezes within 10 minutes. I also tried at 4.2 first and it wouldn't even load windows - froze after the login page.

I am unsure what changes to make. Also i did a 5 hour Memtest which passed before starting any config changes.

I know this PC can do 4.2 as it did it for years - but stuck getting it passed 4.

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Try slowly increasing the system agent voltage, CPU I/O analogue and CPU I/O digital voltage. It may be called somthing else depending on the MB, the warning text may turn purple but that's OK don't use a value that turns the text red.

This is going from memory but I think this will help.
