Help overclocking my new system please

Hi guys i have just setup my new system basically

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz 'Yorkfield' 12MB Cache LGA775 (1333 Mhz) -
E0 Stepping.

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz CL5 DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

Asus P5Q SE Intel P45 (Socket 775) DDR2 ATX Motherboard

And im looking to overclock this i know the q9550 being a E0 stepping is a good thing.
but i have no idea about ram overclocking and stuff.
just wondering wat kind of speeds i can expect to get out of this
can anyone help me or guide me thank you

You may want to read up on the various threads about overclocking on here. Then try specific threads for your processor. It also partially depends on what heatsink you're using. If you're using stock then temps will be an issue

That should mange 4ghz on the procceser side, no idea about the RAM. WHat cooler are you using?

just stock mate but im not sure wat to do on the ram side ;/

Just keep the ram as it is, it addes very little in real life overclocking it and it can quickly become unstable. CPU and GPU show the big overclocking benifits

Yeah don't bother overclocking the RAM, 4GHZ on that processor should be fine with a good cooler
