Hello and 1st of all thanks for taking time out to look at my post!!
I have been using ocuk forums for a while now getting tips and reading up on bits i want! So i have now joined and now need some assistance and this too me seems to be one of the best forums out there with helpful members and admins and people who seem to have a lot of experience tinkering lol
i recently bought a PC i spec`t together at overclockers
system specs are....
corsair 800d
p67a-ud7 b3 mobo"gigabyte"
intel i7 2600k
8gig corsair vengence 1866
590gtx
Asus Xonar D2X 7.1
H70 cooler
intel elmcrest 250gig ssd
1tb cavier black hd
ok so heres my problem...
i paid to have pc overclocked by ocuk but had a few problems memory was set to 1333mhz
cpu overclocked to 4.2
graphics card over clocked
after contacting ocuk i got my money back for the overclock as i di dn`t accept that this was right as i paid for 1866 memory and didn`t even get it running at that speed never mind overclocked
cpu was not overclocked as said as i was told it would be about 4.8ghz
and i couldn`t play any games with the overclock done it would just crash games to white screen and was unplayable on any game
so what i want is help to overclock my pc my self and wondering if anyone could help me set all settings for the clocks what the believe to be safe or if anyone has same setup as me if they could help me?
I.e set voltages and timiming in bios for cpu
help me get memory running at speed as the xmp settings makes pc unstable
i would like my memory to run at 1866 or higher if possible and also get better timings if also possible?
I am a noob at this but learn quickly and everything i know about pc`s are all self tought!!!
if any one does have the time to help i would be extremely grateful as i know it would probably take quite a lot to explain how and to go through settings
Also is it possible to add more fans to the h70 and if so how? I was thinking about swapping the h700 for the h100 and putting 4 fans onto that is it worth it would i notice a lot of difference?
