Hi guys,

I built a PC for a mate last night. I was trying to overclock it and not having much luck.

It's an A64 3700+
Asus A8v-Deluxe
2x1gig Corsair 218Mhz Ram. (DDR3500) but can't remember specific type.

Can someone please talk me through what I need to set on this motherboard to overclock?

I ask because I attempted to increase the FSB to 218 using a 1:1 multipler (but without changing the HTT setup) and it failed during Pi test. But, I then went in an used the 'factory 10% overclock option' and it passed Pi test at 220Mhz FSB. so I expect I missed a setting I was meant to set.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi thanks for that. I'm looking for the sort of advice of "set this setting in this menu item to this"... that sort of stuff.

Should I have to change the HTT settings from 1000 when over clocking?
