Help Partitioning Vista

I have Vista installed but i would like to setup windows xp for dual boot.

my research into this shows that i will need to format my entire hard drive, install win xp, partition the drive then install vista again.

is there anyway or software where i can just partition my hdd in vista, then install xp and still have the dual boot option to load either xp or vista?

Just partition with Gparted, install XP as normal, and the XP install will be added to the Vista Boot Loader.
