help pc doesnt post :( after failed dvd burn

hi people qould appreciate your help

i was burning an img file to dvd but cancelled the burn, the program (nero) didnt want to seem to exit so i killed it via task manager which didnt seem to work so was forced to reset, Ive managed to remove the dvd but now the machine doesnt post whatsover, ive tried disconnecting hard disks and dvd drive but still the machine doesnt post...

im a little out of the loop nowadays, so am considering taking it to ahop to be looked at but would appreciate any suggestions before i do this

Tried removing the CMOS battery/resetting BIOS? Try booting with one stick of RAM or if the motherboard is connected to a speaker, remove all RAM. If the mobo beeps it should be OK.

Thanks i had already removed bios battery as you posted, thanks for the reply anyway

thought thta would work but was panicking at the prospect of a warcraft free night!!
